Made My Monday

I’m sad that the weekend is over, so I do have a touch of the Mondays. Before I get to the post though, an announcement. Candid Nikki has an official facebook page now! Here is the list of things that Made My Monday this week:

1. I’m still feeling the sweet joy from an impromptu date Michael initiated last night. We took a drive through Bay View to the lakefront in the glorious weather and then stopped for ice cream at Babe’s. I highly recommend the Horchata flavored ice cream! 
2. I was finally able to catch up with a close friend over coffee, this morning.
3. I was able to handle a freelance web client’s urgent request all by myself this morning! I didn’t need to ask anyone for help, and didn’t need to Google for answers. It was all me! This is a great feeling, it boosts my confidence in my skills since I didn’t think I could handle part of this request on my own. I usually feel way overwhelmed by the extent of what I don’t know, so feeling like I’m confident in what I do know is awesome.
4. Penelope had to go to the vet this weekend and she got some meds. I was DREADING having to pill her, because she’s such an aggressive demon spawn sometimes. Good news: she’s surprisingly easy to pill! If you’ve ever tried to pill a cat I know you feel me on this one…
5. Game 2 of the softball season tonight, and we’re going in off of a win last week. Yay Red!

   Smash is very likely getting canceled, all the signs are there, but the show is kicking major butt in the E! Online–Save One Show 2013 poll. As a matter of fact, Smash finished first in the third round of voting (I believe there is only one more round to go). I have no idea if this contest could really save Smash, but I’m not ready let it go yet so I’m hoping for the best.
